I’m Carolina!

I’m a millennial just trying to find joy and solace away from the rat race of my everyday life. I love everything you’d expect me to love–sourdough, gardening, canning, cats, making broth and rendering tallow in my electric roaster, and preserving!

My journey started when I decided to make my husband low sugar blueberry jam for his peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. I fell in love with canning (and with knowing every single ingredient that went into those jars)!

At JamminandCannin.com, I want to share the knowledge I have gained to help you preserve the abundance, eat better, and spend less doing it!

I work a 9-to-5 job and save all of my homesteading projects for after work or on the weekends. I hope I can inspire you, no matter what stage of life you’re in or how busy your days are, to start preserving, gardening, and being more self-sufficient.

You’ll find preserving tips and tricks, recipes that are inspired by fresh produce coming from the garden or that are preserved on the shelves, and helpful information about sourdough baking from someone who only has time to spend a few hours on it a week.
